The trip home was long and arduous.  It was a mistake to fly from Puerto Vallarta just to save a few pesos but when I booked I was open to spending a few days there before I flew home.

The weather here has been mostly cool and wet, another apparent mistake to have come home mid-March.  The forecast however is looking great for this week.

The house was mostly fine.  The deer got into the garden and ate some plants, nothing serious and it was easy to repair the breaches.  Goes to show that more fencing is required.  Received an order of 13 bare-root rose bushes and have them planted.  Six more are on their way.

I took me a few days to acclimatize and feel at home.  Yes I’m digging again to prepare for the garage floor.  Hoping to have the floor poured by the end of April and begin the fun part in May.

I can’t complain about the weather we’ve had so far this fall.  It had been good for working outside.  Today, however, after working outside I got a chill and a couple of fingers went numb.  Went to the local pub for dinner, a reward for my hard work.  The sky is clear and it’s going down to freezing over night.

I fly to Guanajuato Mexico to November 14 to escape winter here in Garden Bay.  I think the timing is perfect.  Current weather down there is sunny, low 13C, high 25C.  I’m looking forward to a vacation from my projects here.
