    We have been back in Garden Bay a little over two weeks now, and are very happy to be home. We are busy in the sense of working through the many TODO lists, but in a relaxed manner.

    One year later and the US is suffering greatly because of this fool. His lies and attacks are just Trump normal. The world hopes Trump’s day of reckoning will come in 2026, but things will likely get worse first.

    The CBC’s Andrew Change made an excellent video regarding this event. During my morning run on Sunday February 22 I saw a fire truck with sirens blaring. Shortly after getting home we heard of an OXXO on fire in the center of old Guanajuato. Social chatter and Google search led to a national news website with real-time updates on what was unfolding in Mexico.

    We went for lunch as usual but quickly returned home as the city was put on alert by the authorities and the streets cleared. Fortunately the violent reaction was limited here to a few fires that morning. The city slowly returned to normality the following day as did most of the country. However, the likelihood of future violence is high and I am glad to be returning to Garden Bay on March 15.

  • Beach Break

    We have returned to Rincón de Guayabitos for our January beach break. We are splurging this year in a hotel on the beach and a room with a view of the ocean. I am especially enchanted with the sound of the waves and the ocean breeze entering the room. We return to Guanajuato on January 22.

    Starting the new year with a “Donroe” Doctrine emergency is not a good start. The country that needs regime change is the United States and only the American people can make that happen.

    But they need help!

    This YouTube channel provides a homey Canadian perspective on the Trump chaos. Three-quarters into the first year of Trump’s second term Americans must be suffering.
