I’ve been going to the new house in Garden Bay frequently and the stays have been getting longer.  Been busy there with yard work/gardening and insulating the crawl space.

Last weekend I was supposed to go back to Vancouver to attend a meeting of a Spanish conversation group.  I had no other reason to return and decided not to go.  In my mind I have moved from Vancouver and now live in Garden Bay.

While I still own the apartment I will go back once an a while to take care of responsibilities that I still have in the city.  My apartment is now listed on MLS and my fingers are crossed for a quick sale.

Today the weather is glorious here in Garden Bay.  Seven minutes away past Garden Bay Lake is the trail head to Mount Daniel and I hiked the trail today for the first time.  There are exceptional views of Pender Harbour from the top.

Took delivery of a used Yamaha U3 piano at the house two days ago.

Shopping for a used piano is similar to shopping for a used car; very time consuming and frustrating.  After visiting many stores (twice) and pursuing some private sales, I purchased this piano from a specialist in importing reconditioned pianos from Japan.

The next challenge was to find economical transportation to the house.  It all worked out and I was playing happily on a real piano again.
