{"id":450,"date":"2016-06-19T07:52:48","date_gmt":"2016-06-19T14:52:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ashworthdavidg.ca\/?p=450"},"modified":"2016-06-19T07:52:48","modified_gmt":"2016-06-19T14:52:48","slug":"need-a-roof","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ashworthdavidg.duckdns.org\/wordpress\/index.php\/2016\/06\/19\/need-a-roof\/","title":{"rendered":"Need a Roof"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are having a typical June, or perhaps a wetter one than normal. \u00a0Not only does it hinder progress but also gives me grief to see the materials drenched.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ashworthdavidg6722705c1a-bsotj.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/084da-progress.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-451\" src=\"http:\/\/ashworthdavidg6722705c1a-bsotj.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/084da-progress.jpg\" alt=\"progress\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Putting the trusses in place with little help was tricky, as was positioning the fascia. \u00a0I don&#8217;t think I have made any significant errors but could do a better job next time.<\/p>\n<p>The rain is supposed to stop so I started to sheath the roof. \u00a0Yesterday it rained all day and that put me in a bad mood. \u00a0The lower corners of the roof are a challenge. \u00a0Since the photo above I have turned the right corner. \u00a0Once I have the lower row of sheathing applied all around then at least the walls will be out of the rain.<\/p>\n<p>The garage is starting to look like an impressive building. \u00a0One neighbour commented that it looked bigger than the house. \u00a0Not true but it will be the dominant feature from the street once completed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are having a typical June, or perhaps a wetter one than normal. \u00a0Not only does it hinder progress but also gives me grief to see the materials drenched.
