{"id":352,"date":"2015-11-21T12:04:23","date_gmt":"2015-11-21T20:04:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ashworthdavidg.ca\/?p=352"},"modified":"2015-11-21T12:04:23","modified_gmt":"2015-11-21T20:04:23","slug":"week-1-guanajuato-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ashworthdavidg.duckdns.org\/wordpress\/index.php\/2015\/11\/21\/week-1-guanajuato-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Week 1 &#8211; Guanajuato 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ashworthdavidg6722705c1a-bsotj.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/c9397-20151121_131550.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-353\" src=\"http:\/\/ashworthdavidg6722705c1a-bsotj.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/c9397-20151121_131550.jpg\" alt=\"20151121_131550\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been in Guanajuato for a week now and am very content. \u00a0The photo above is the view from the roof of the casa. \u00a0It has been sunny and warm every day.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m enjoying going to Spanish school and I don&#8217;t think I have every spoken better, which is very encouraging considering that I&#8217;ll be here another 16 weeks or so. \u00a0I go to school Mon-Fri, 9-12. \u00a0It&#8217;s about a 15 minute walk to the school.<\/p>\n<p>Up to now I&#8217;ve been eating out. \u00a0A nice multi-course meal of the day costs around 75 pesos including tip ($6 Cdn). \u00a0Also there is lots of street food of course. \u00a0Saturday morning is when I enjoy tamales for breakfast in Plaza Baratillo. \u00a0I made salsa roja last night and will eat in tonight.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been physically active every day, either running or hiking. \u00a0I walk everywhere and everything is a short distance away. \u00a0There are many options for entertainment including my favourite CineClub at the university.
